Distant Craniosacral has more than proved its efficacy in unwinding anxiety, relieving stress or working with embodied trauma and the different ways it manifests. It has proven effective for a range of clients goals from emotional release, headache relief, reducing neck pain to being more in touch with the body AND with intuition. On many occasions, the results from remote sessions are far more profound than they ever were during in person sessions.

I write this from the experience of working with clients who transitioned to distance sessions in 2020 without interrupting their weekly schedule.  Remote sessions remove the stress of traveling & the stress of being in person, in a small room. For some, it also removes the stress of being physically touched or seen, allowing for an environment of safety which is important when we are ready to make changes.

CranioSacral work is stillness:   waiting, watching, witnessing, holding space, allowing, encouraging, listening.       It is intention and attention, watching the body unwind. Witnessing emotions as they arise.

Holding space for healing to happen.

Allowing the body to be.

"...CST (CranioSacral Therapy) is particularly good for tinnitus as it works very specifically on the parts of the central nervous system that switches off the stress response. It helps people come out of the freezing response, pass through fight or flight, back towards the ideal and calm state of homeostasis.  It is important to note that some people may never have experienced this ideal state of calm and well-being it can come as a real surprise and new experience. . ." Julian Cowan Hill

Visionary CranioSacral Work® as defined by the Milne Institute

"Visionary Craniosacral Work® is a soothing, noninvasive therapy.  A visionary knows how to help the client feel more aligned, and more at home in themselves. Sometimes a visionary can help the client understand what troubles them, and what they need to reclaim their equanimity, and their place in life. Such work can also help the client access and release their healing potential."

What is CranioSacral Therapy?

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. It was pioneered and developed by Osteopathic Physician John E. Upledger after years of clinical testing and research at Michigan State University where he served as professor of biomechanics. Practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system. CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and it is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

Some conditions that CranioSacral Therapy addresses:

Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury

Migraines and Headaches

Chronic Neck and Back Pain

Stress and Tension-Related Disorders

Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia

TMJ Syndrome

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
